Come enjoy a meal prepared by Chef Melody Prettyman! We'll eat a plant-based meal (gluten-free options, too), and hear a seminar by Chef Prettyman, who lost more than 100 pounds by becoming plant-strong! She travels the country providing cooking shows and is a regular guest on 3ABN worldwide television. The event is free, but donations (suggested $10 per person) will be accepted on site.

Full Biography

Melody Prettyman is a regularly featured cooking expert on the Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN) and co-hosts a weekly radio program entitled “Focus on Healthy Foods” on 3ABN radio with Nikki Anderson. She has served as chef for numerous events, including Dr. Neil Nedley’s Depression seminars, Disciple Youth Camp, and religious retreats. She specializes in preparing foods for people with allergies, wheat and gluten-free, dairy, and nut free diets. Melody enjoys creating substitutions for allergens without sacrificing taste. Melody is the author of “Simply Yummy”, a plant based cookbook featured on 3ABN and in Adventist Book Centers. Melody is currently working on her new cookbook, “Simply Serious”, recipes designed for individuals eliminating oil and refined sugar without sacrificing taste. “Simply Amazing”, her third cookbook which is scheduled for release in the fall, is a plant-based, gluten-free cookbook designed for those on a gluten-free or wheat restricted diet. Melody has been providing simple home remedies and health seminars nationally since 2009.

Melody grew up in the culinary field. It started with her father, who was a chef and restaurant owner. She learned early on that she had a knack for creating recipes and for cooking. She managed and operated a catering business for more than twenty years. While her background has been in vegetarian cuisine, five years ago she began experimenting with plant-based whole food preparation due to being obese and diagnosed with hypertension and celiac disease. Due to the dietary changes she made, Melody has currently lost more than 100 pounds. In Melody’s words; “nothing tastes as good as healthy feels”.
